In combination with my newsletter this week whose feature article is entitled “The Upside of Care Giving” and also in celebration of my “soon-to-be-published” book , ” The Peaceful Care Giver “, I am launching a contest !
In my book, I want to include several inspirational poems or short stories about care giving or about relationships with elders. I asked my son, who attended Orange County High School of the Arts with creative WRITING as his conservatory, for a submission, but he said “I can’t do that; that’s too sad”. So……I am asking for YOUR submissions! This is your chance to be published (if you are not already).
Simply leave your poem or story under the comment section or if you’d rather leave it privately, you can send it by e-mail to eldercaresupport@gmail.com. By submitting your poem or short story you are granting me the right to use the content in my book, and if published, you, as the author, will be duly credited. If you’d like, you may leave an “about” paragraph which I will include under my resources section of the book. As a thank you, each chosen author will receive a copy of the book at no charge, and in a random drawing, one lucky author will receive a FLIP VIDEO camera !
So get those creative juices flowing or dig out that poem you’ve always wanted to see in print and send it in !
